Made by Hands. Inspired by Tradition.

Our pieces travel from village workshops and family courtyards to your home, largely unchanged in method for generations. The wheel still turns by hand. The dye still comes from roots and flowers. The brush is still held the way a grandfather held it.

We simply carry that work forward with honest photography, fair prices and careful packing — so the story arrives intact.

Who We Are

Shri Hastkala is a small studio-led brand that brings together artisan families across India — potters, weavers, painters and woodcarvers — under one carefully curated roof.

Our Story

It began with a single visit to a potter's courtyard in Rajasthan. What we found there — patience, memory, and hands that had shaped clay for four generations — became the reason for everything we do.

Our Mission

To give traditional Indian craft a rightful place in contemporary homes, and to make that craft a dependable livelihood for the people who keep it alive.

Our Craftsmanship

Every piece is made by hand, in small batches, using natural clay, wood, brass, cotton and plant-based pigments. Nothing is mass produced, and nothing is rushed.

Supporting Indian Artisans

We buy directly from the makers, pay before production begins, and credit the craft cluster behind each collection. No middlemen, no anonymous supply chains.

Why Handmade Matters

A handmade object carries a record of the hand that made it. Slight variation is not a flaw — it is the signature of a person, a place and a tradition.
